Running Hems (the "Contest") is a game-of-skill contest run by Hemsley Herrick LLC, 5 Briscoe St., Unit 2, Beverly, MA ("Sponsor," "we," "us"). By playing to enter, you agree to these rules and to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. No purchase necessary
No purchase or payment of any kind is necessary to enter or win. A purchase will not improve your chances of winning. Winners are decided only by skill (score), not by chance.
2. Who can enter
Open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 or older when they enter. Entrants under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian's permission, and a parent or guardian must accept any prize on their behalf. Sponsor's owners and their immediate families are not eligible. Void where prohibited.
3. Contest period
The Contest runs from when the game is available on hemsley.us until Halloween, Oct 31, at 3 PM ET (Eastern Time). Runs finished after the end are not counted.
4. How to enter
- Play Running Hems at hemsley.us/arcade.
- To appear on the leaderboard, claim an arcade name with a mobile number. One arcade name per person and per mobile number.
- Your best verified score counts. You can play as many times as you like.
- Scores that would place in the top 10 are confirmed by a one-time code sent by text to the number on the account (message and data rates may apply).
5. How winners are decided
When the Contest ends, the 10 highest verified scores on the leaderboard win, one prize per person. If two scores are equal, the one set earlier ranks higher. Every run is replayed and checked by the game's own rules. We may remove runs or accounts that appear automated, modified, duplicated, or otherwise entered in bad faith, and every winning entry is reviewed by hand before prizes are awarded. Our decisions on scores and eligibility are final.
6. Prizes
- 1st place: 3 mystery clothing items, Phone case, 16×20" poster, $100 store credit. Approximate retail value: $280+.
- 2nd place: 2 mystery clothing items, Phone case, $50 store credit. Approximate retail value: $168+.
- 3rd place: Mystery clothing item, Phone case, $25 store credit. Approximate retail value: $103+.
- 4th & 5th: $10 store credit.
- 6th to 10th: A 15% off code.
1st to 5th also get a 20% off code, good for one order (single use, cannot be combined with other codes).
- Mystery clothing items: valued at $40+ each; value starts at $40 and may vary, and higher places may receive higher-value items. Items are chosen by Sponsor in the winner's size.
- Phone case: valued at $38, in the winner's phone model and choice of available design.
- 16×20" poster: valued at $22, a print-on-demand poster of the canvas of the winner's choice, semi-gloss or matte. No frame included.
- Store credit and discount codes are for hemsley.us only, have no cash value, and are not transferable. Store credit does not expire unless stated when it's issued.
Prizes ship free to winners' addresses in the United States. No substitution or cash equivalent, except that Sponsor may substitute an item of equal or greater value if one is unavailable. Winners are responsible for any taxes on their prize.
7. Winner notification
We'll contact winners within 7 days after the Contest ends, by text to the verified number (and by email if one was given), to confirm eligibility and collect a shipping address, sizes, phone model, and design choices. A winner who doesn't respond within 14 days, can't be verified, or isn't eligible forfeits the prize, and it may go to the next eligible score.
8. Your information
Your arcade name, scores, and when they were set are public on the leaderboard. Your mobile number, and email if you give one, are used to verify you and to contact you if you win, as described in our Privacy Policy. Joining the mailing list is optional and separate. With a winner's permission, we may announce their arcade name and prize on hemsley.us and our social media.
9. General
We may change, suspend, or end the Contest, or change these rules, if it can't run as planned (including because of cheating, technical problems, or anything else outside our control). To the extent the law allows, Sponsor isn't responsible for lost, late, or incomplete entries or for technical failures, and entrants release Sponsor from claims arising from the Contest or a prize. These rules are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Contest is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Apple, Google, Instagram, or any phone carrier.
